Very cool! That orange one looks like it could double as an emergency beacon if you get lost in a snowstorm. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

Great pics David. That exposed spine sheath is just what I was looking for for my 1311's.

Looking great; you've been busy. I passed on the 411 because it looked similar enough to the Scrapper 5 to just hold with what I've got. I'm certainly hearing good things about them though.

Thank you everyone, for the kind words.
My exposed spine sheath works great with this long knife, you only have to draw a little bit then the knife is free from the sheath.
I was asked long ago if I could make a sheath like my speed draw holsters and I came up with this design.
Years ago there were a few leather and nylon sheaths/holsters that were break out designs, but the extra material covering the spine of the blade would rub against the coating or satin finish of the blade. So I came up with this design. my exposed spine and rubber retaining strap (which I make) allowed you to draw with little no resistance once the strap is undone thus protecting the finish a bit more.
The knife is very secure with the rubber strap secured, and I use pull the dot directional snaps so that the strap will not come undone accidentally.
The added benefit is that it shows off the JYD number <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> telling the world that you are a Junk Yard Dog <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

 David a couple questions:
  1)Is it tech lock only?
  2) can it have a balderic or strap attached?
  3) can it be made into a dangler?
I'm just wondering if it can be done without the extra eyelets on the exposed side.
  Thanks MM
