I voted leather, but I also like nylon.

I voted cordura since I think we see to few really cool cordura rigs.
If leather, dial up Rainwalker, who makes some awesome stuff!! Unless you got the skills yourself..?

I voted kydex because the big knives moves around a lot and mine gets rained on all the time. I think that you can do a lot of great looking designs with leather that kydex can't touch though.

I personally like leather. That being said many times kydex (which is what I have for my 911 AND 1311) mane more sense, depending on how/where you carry them. As in the truck subjected to extremes of heat and cold and humidity.

As in the truck subjected to extremes of heat and cold and humidity. This is my reasoning also. The 1311 (AKA MOAD)is attached to my pack and the 911 to my shoulder harness strap. They will be much more exposed to weather than a personal carry blade. But I've got a leather Rainwalker on order for my EDC 311 (scout carry). For me, leather sez class, while kydex sez work.

The thing I think I like most about leather is that it won't dull the blade. I know it's, miniscule, but I've noticed it with other kydex sheaths.
