I think there will be action taken. Very likely the wrong ones.

1st is was Aurora, CO, then OR mall, then CT. All shooters young white males. All with some kind of mental health treatments. All used AR-15s (at first they said he used pistols and found the AR-15 in his car, but now they say he used the AR-15.) I guess that fits the narrative better. Something strange is happening here.

And yes, I prayed to tears for those innocent victims and their families. But I am disgusted by the media gun grabbers exploiting this horror for their own agenda. It's a horror show.

There is a genetic defect which turn people hyper violent and psychotic, which is triggered by certain anti-depressive medicines.

Guess who most commonly have this genetic variance? Yup, caucasian males.

Most of the kids who have gone nuts this way have been on the same meds for the same things.

Did you also know that in order to have a drug green lighted by the FDA for public sales, you just have to show a study that you did on your own drug that shows its safe? Yup, again, no third parties need to actually show that a drug is safe. Your first trials fail? Just keep doing studies until you can show one that says its safe.

Lets take a long, hard look at the FDA and big pharmaceutical businesses. People think the NRA is a powerful lobby, they have -nothing- on the legal drug business.

I have noticed that in past years nearly every student my kids knew was on some kind of medication for some kind of "learning disability". I refused to let them drug up my lively girls. We may indeed have some kind of drug induced craziness going on here. I'm afraid Big Pharma may have more clout than the NRA. Maybe they will just diagnose us all as too crazy to own firearms. Then we can all be unarmed, undangerous, and on our medication.

the virginia tech shooter wasn't white, nor did he use an AR. but he was being treated for a psychiatric disorder(s) with pharmaceuticals. if you've ever seen the commercials for these medications you'll notice that many of them say they may increase violent or suicidal behavior, yet it doesn't seem that anyone holds these companies accountable ($$$.) i'm willing to bet that there are a lot of small scale violent incidents related to these medications that don't get picked up on the radar. in a similar way that crimes involving military communities are kept out of the spotlight.

I strongly agree; it's a tragedy, but wiping out the bill of rights isn't the answer.

Take the Second Amendment away and the rest will fall.

The recent tragedy is certainly cause for reflection and search for solutions and answers to try to prevent such horrors in the future. I believe that no matter how many laws that are passed, especially ones that are hastily done in the heat of an emotional time, you will never stop all evil people from doing evil acts.

I believe that it is shameless for the political and media elites to immediately jump on these tragedies to further an anti gun agenda. It is also the pinnacle of hypocrisy when most of these same elites are themselves and their children, protected from these same weapons they rail against. I guess it's ok for them to have protection as long as they don't have to do it themselves but us "commoners" cannot be trusted with our own security. Why it would be "The Wild Wild West" all over again. It doesn't matter that the facts show that the most gun violence in our country occurs where the gun laws are the most restrictive, and in so called "Gun Free Zones". Most criminals and crazies are not stupid.

In my opinion a GFZ is an invitation for mentally deranged cowards to try to get their moment of fame and glory and do the most damage before being confronted. Is it just a coincidence that most of the recent tragedies have occurred in these GFZ's. It's interesting that many of these cowards actually shoot themselves at the moment when they realize they are about to be confronted with return fire.

I believe that the media also needs to stop identifying these crazies by name. If the people with these possible tendencies know that they will not get the fame or recognition to go out in a blaze of glory so to speak, then they may not be so likely to go off.

We either all stand tall or we will pay the cost by losing our freedoms. Our elected politicians need to remember who they work for. Please take the time and call, email or write a letter to your member in congress or the senate. I’m not interested in the prospect of some moron telling me what I can own and can’t own.
