Seeing how I have had most of the Scrap Yard blades at one time or another, several Rats, and a few Busses not to mention all the others why is it that I am always wanting another knife? It is not like I don't have the bases covered already with what I have plus more. But after seeing the Santa Ganza offerings I really want a knife in Elmax, and seeing how I don't have the money since JW is on his way I might as well write it off. I am not complaining, like I said I have plenty to pass down after we use them but [censored] I want that Elmax that is going up for sale

You say the bases are covered, but the bases are never covered...

For instance; the 711 was 7.2567432" long... How many other knives is that exact length? See?

Skunk, I know.................you know I know that but I can't help it!

Rasmus, I see what you are getting at but when the knife fund is at 0.00 because the soon to be baby fund has taken over it makes new offerings hard to justify or find ways to get it done. I now know what many of you guys have felt in the past---kids or knives, hmmmmmm................................I know, the kids and I would not change that for anything in the world and mine is not even here yet.

Basically I need to figure a way to do something constructive and make extra scratch so I can keep knee deep in steel

Sell you hair. Sell some guns, sell some ammo, sell your car and get a bicycle and... Oh never mind. If you're like me you'd probably get took to the cleaners anyway. Besides, you can NOW think about buying him some steel!

That it is! I went through a rough patch when I first got hooked, hit rock bottom, recovered, and am now relapsing.

There will be 5 NMFSHs in my near future!

But seriously, it likely has to do with A: Busse & Kin make fantastic knives and B: their marketing strategy is brilliant. I don't NEED another, but I WANT another. That's the thought process, but really, need and want are synonymous in this case.

I wish I had more time to write about B, but that'll have to wait.

I'm the same buddy, guess we all are, my money gets ever tighter so I have to be more and more convinced that the next knife I buy will offer some benefit over those I already have.My last Scrapyard knife was my Scrapper 4....that's how long I've waited !!!!!

My biggest collection is my SRKW knives of which I have 5. Never owned a Busse but one day I'm hoping one will make it to my collection.

It sounds like you are addicted to purchasing Bussekin, man. Once you start buying these awesome peices of steel, it's hard to draw the line and stop purchasing.

I first heard of the kin six months ago, and it's been quite a ride. After six months of trying to find the right users, I feel confident that my search is over.

I can finally say that unless something comes along that offers a REAL advantage over my setup......I will be watching the madness from the sidelines.

I think the reality is that ALL of the blades made by Busse Knife Group are awesome. That's likely what makes it so hard to draw the line and not try to own them all....

Jeff, NOW when you buy a new knife you can use the reason that you want to pass it on to your little one some day. ...

Guys, I appreciate all the insight. I have a 1311, 911, 411, SODLE, MPLE, Swamp Warden, RMD, and Kill Devil Hawk so I am covered but dreaming is nice! I have a few others that are not production blades, but they rarely make it into a rotation except one a friend made and of course the folder of the day in a pocket. I start thinking about it and then I think of all those who would love to own just one Bussekin, and I feel blessed.
