about the BIV.  That is how HIV came into being.  People in the african rain forest hunt for their food.  A lot of what they get are non-human primates.

If these animals have SIV, it can jump species, but it has to mutate.

I agree the issue isnt the logging persay its the clearcutting they have no plans or want to renew the forrest its sad really.

Yes, clear cuttin is the problem.  We need wood no matter what, but there are better ways like you said.
