Hi everyone,

I from Australia and I thought I'd say hello.

I am a recent convert due to the 1311. Its everything I want in a bush chopper.

After some initial dismay at not being able to get one (cause I wasn't a forum member) I have since acquired 3..

Now my happy dilemma is I have no interest in any other larger knives. I had some infi beasts that I had my eye on but my understanding is there is not a huge difference between sr101 and infi. My desire to own battle mistresses and other large busse blades seems much less justifiable as they would probably weigh more and cost a lot more for a marginal performance increase.

Thanks scrapyard for the 1311(I truly love it) and hopefully I can add a couple of 511's to the mix for my perfect bush companion blades.

Thanks for reading...

Welcome to the Yard!

I wish I had a reason good enough to justify getting the 1311. (..other than that the 1311 is AWSOME!!)

Pap, Welcome to the Yard! You are most assuredly going to like it here. As far as Infi. GET SOME, at lest one. It takes a licking and sharpens up like it was soft steel. You won't believe it. Get AT LEAST a BWM if you can (or a wardog as it is infi as well). I promise you can get your money back if you don't like them. Just ask

Welcome bro, I too had my eye on some infi ( I think it was a steal heart or something like it) then I found the yard and fell in love with the yard gaurd and totally forgot about Infi. The thing that attracted me to the yard is there res c handles as apose to the slab handles. I live in the great white north and holding on to slab handles at -30 is cold! We're as I find the res c handles to be quite warm in winter conditions. Will I eventually buy some infi steel? Hell yes! But for now the yard is where it's at for me. ( just ordered a 311 and hot digitty dagger) as for infi vs all other steel, yes tests show that it is [censored] near invincible like it has super powers or something. But the test I've seen on s7 and sr101 are a close second for a fraction of the cost and seeing as I'm not the kind of guy to baton plate steel, scrapyard knives are the perfect knives for me.

Welcome to the yard. and let's see some pictures of your choppers in action already mate!!!
