I purchased a few dry boxes the other day and figured I would kill sometime with a minimalist review.
The Pursuit 40 is a tough sucker with tons of ways to attach to whatever.
With a Ballistic case on my Blackberry Bold Touch it fits in the hammock and still has room for a slim to medium thickness wallet.
I haven't field tested this thing, but as with all Otterbox products, it feels like it is made to last and the warranty is Bussekin-esque.
If you want to put anything other than a phone, wallet and maybe some keys, this is not the droid you are looking for ... I mean box.
I really dig the latch. Unlike other Otterboxes, it has a two part latch that allows you to easily open it and close it with a very tight seal.
I got the Pursuit 20 for my woman since she asked and plans to use it to hold her iPhone at water parks. I tested it with an iPhone -insert a number here- with an Otterbox case on it at work today. The 20 seems to be made with this exact combo in mind. The cased phone fit perfectly and there was zero rattle when sealed. PERFECT FIT.
My issued Blackberry will fit with the case on only after some forcing, then it presses the side button I have set to take pictures. Since I don't want pics of the inside of a box, I took the case off and tried it.
It fits easily naked. It rattles around inside, but maybe the rubber bumpers inside would keep it safer from impact. It would definitely be better than dropping the phone without it.
I had a lot more confidence with the 40 and cased phone secured in the hammock. I dropped it from however high my hand is when fully extended over my head. No negative results.
Both cases have the rubber bumpers on the inside.
This concludes today's programing. Stay tuned for the playing of the national anthem and still image of the American Flag.
