Don't forget that daylight savings time starts at 0200 YOUR local time in the morning. So unless you're up then you better set your clocks FORWARD one hour.

I hate daylight savings time. If I didn't have some living here who had to work or go to school on time, I'd just ignore it. In fact, I wouldn't even be on EST. I'd set my clocks at high noon and run on REAL time. I have trouble getting up by 10:00 am as it is. The whole idea is absurd to me. Only the arrogant politicians would think they could change the actual hours of daylight in a day and force their subjects to get up earlier. It's just plain unnatural!
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Vic, I couldn't agree with you more. If you need more daylight, get up BEFORE the Sun comes up!

Not to be a stickler but it is just Daylight Saving time. No "s" and it is the best time of the year with longer daylight. I get up at the same time everyday and it is always dark at that time.

I think the benefits depends on where you live.. A little further to the north from where I live, they go for 3 weeks without the sun going over the horizon. What do you do then? hibernate?
I´m glad that I´m not living up there..

its an illusion, time is linear! Only if the observer is travelling at the same speed as or is impacted by the same gravitational field as his time measuring device

I take that back. I suppose time is linear, just variable speed..

I have lived in a few countries that didn't practice daylight saving. It makes sense to me not to. ![[Linked Image from 2.bp.blogspot.com]](http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BjGySpxmTxQ/TrbP_23KnVI/AAAAAAAAAXc/6n-3xDQDgsw/s1600/indian_daylight%2Bsavings%2Btime.jpg) On an alternative note, we can definitely shorten time by doing something else to that blanket. Yeah, I know. I have bad humor.

Old Redneck Proverb. If it's a good idea it didn't come from the Government.

LOL, wonders of the industrial age. I'm just glad spring is coming soon. I like the longer light.
