I would be willing to try a lot of the stuff you Dogs listed, but probably not all of it.

I have also had some of the less "exotic" foods y'all have listed but I just put down the kinda weird stuff.

The wife is from a small island 12 hours boat ride off of Okinawa heading towards Taiwan. The mother in-law was not fond of me dating, and then marrying her daughter until we showed up fresh off the boat from Okinawa on our honeymoon. To celebrate our arrival, she went down to the local beach and found every living creature that was edible and stuck it in the cooking put. I can only remember a few things like sea cucumber, seaweed, snails, land crabs and other tasty items off the land. Her thinking was that she would find just one more reason to dislike/distrust me after refusing to eat the content simmering in the pot. When the dinner bell rang, this hungry dog’s tail was wagon and was ready to chomp. The contents were defiantly not familiar to my western eye, but I dug in wielding my chop sticks at everything on that table. My wife was amassed but my mother in-law was in shock. From that moment on she loved me and treated me like I was her son. While visiting she made tofu out in the backyard and I never had anything better. Deep fried bananas, sugar cane tempura balls, dang could she cook. I have had some very interesting meals over the years but none like that first one my mother in-law came up with.

SF, it's memories like that that will be forever remembered, always cherished and passed down for generations to come. I had something similar in my first marriage (Philippina) but now with as dramatic food items. Have you ever heard of Tusino (a type of sausage, DELICIOUS). It's not strange, but your talk made me think of it. I could eat that stuff forever (IF I could find it).
Ok, I was wrong. I was thinking of Longganisa. Hey, I['m trying to remember back 27 years plus.

Something else I really liked:
Boiled (I guess) long eggplant.
after cooking, smash it out flat and sprinkle with browned hamburger meat and pour well beaten eggs over it and fry. It's good.

Balut? Yeah, you can have that Randy. Have a funny story about the Chinese version of that but am too sick to deal with it now. ..

Ok, I was wrong. I was thinking of Longganisa. Hey, I['m trying to remember back 27 years plus. We have some Pilipino friends that have cooked some lumpia while stationed in Okinawa and that stuff is the cat’s meow.
