OH MAN, for your sake Bill, I hope the next town over is SEVERAL miles away.

And couple years ago a guy on our street found two kids in their early teens vandalizing his car
He physically restrained them while his wife called 911
The cops almost threw him in jail and treated the kids like they were the victims

It is about 15 minutes away

He didn't hit the kids just grabbed them and yelled at them

Some kids just need a good ole butt whoopin!

Yeah, unfortunately the "Innocent kiddies are treated like they have never done anything wrong. Around here that doesn't wash very often. We kinda look at it that if you are old enough to commit the crime you KNOW what you're doing and we will respond in an appropriate manner to their actions.

15 miles is a bit close for comfort for stuff like that to be happening. Maybe you need to move up into the Yukon where Chris used to live.

Three summers ago
A guy walked up our street with a hammer breaking car windows including my wife's truck
A lady followed about 50 feet behind him on a cell phone with the cops
We were the fourth or fifth street he had walked up
His reason that he told the cops was he was bored and mad at his mom

Again, a good ole butt whoopin in order!

That is just plain ignorant.

I almost moved to the Yukon about 16 or 17 years ago
One of the reasons we didn't was that we didn't want to limit our kids future
A good friend of mine has lived up there for about twenty years I guess

I like my privacy, but I don't think I could live that far away from civilization.
