I like my Rem 700. The older Win 70's are great rifles.
I´ve heard that Winchester has upgraded the quality and they are again making their rifles with the pre ´64 lock. Remingtons are valued here too and I might have a chance to buy a used one that I know had been in good hands. Of course, for me, Tikka is one interesting make also.

Yes they do. I understand the value of synthetic stocks in harsh wet environments, but a nice wood stock looks best!

I think the "Master Control" is getting confused with our PC and laptop, combined with the fact that the General and I use the same computers.
