So how come no one has been talking about this yet? ![[Linked Image from imageshack.us]](http://imageshack.us/a/img27/6880/p1080553x.jpg) It was my highlight of BLADE. I have had to work 12s almost since I got back but I can't wait to go chop some stuff with it! I'll try to post some comparison pics tomorrow night.

Looks nice. How are the specs compared to the 13-11?

Private Klink showed off his 1111s as well as a bunch of other pictures he took. He didn't tell us yet the specs or what he thought of them yet - we're all still waiting to hear.

I think I'd prefer a 1311 - more reach and thinner steel makes for a faster swing with chops out farther.

OK dogs, I have added the 1111 to the Scrapyard Knife Specs thread but I still need:
Blade Height Overall length Weight Issue Price

I guess maybe as a pure survival tool as the edge geometry would be stronger. The trade off is that the thicker edge geometry is a hinderance for most other applications.

I think that we tend to forget that many of the "Survival Blades" of the Frontier days of this country were most of the time nothing more than Butcher knives. KITCHEN knives if you will.

I don't have a 1311 for an in the hand direct comparison. I sold mine because it felt like a thick machete. I have several machetes and for what I use them for in Ohio I did not think I wanted thicker/heavier. I don't think i will need more "reach" that the 1111. I am more of a medium thickness, long knife guy. I like the dogfather, 911, etc. over a machete. The best chopper I ever had in my tests was the Basic 11 but the handle was too small and of course the price of INFI was a lot more. The 1111 feels just right for me.
