Tough decision. That CRKT sure does look purdy, specially next to that old plain Rat.

BUT then again you would probably have to buy at least a half dozen of them to last half as long as the KDSH. Ah what the heck, go with the Rat.

Hmm well it would be a kukri i had customised for myself it performs every task i put it up against decent enough. for me i prefer a combo 4 inch knife and my gransfors 425 though in a non apocalyptic scenario. The kukri is the one blade/cutting tool option for me. | | |

Ideally I would want something big, the 911 or even the 1311, but probably the 911 for slight weight reduction and ease of carry. I would also want something a bit smaller Either my Bullnose Regulator or the S5/Wardog. AND I would also I figure carry the Swamp Warden with bpiatt scales.
You CAN get be with only one knife, two are better and three are best in my opinion.

The 13-11 would be another great choice given the parameters as originally posted. Good reach, great chopper, and light enough to carry.

Been there, done that, (well sort of, it was a 9 1/2 blade) but I would rather use the 311 or ideally the Cupidvore or Swamp Warden.
