Here is my new BOB it has some built in weight as you can see.

My TT 3 day assault pack will carry more that I probably would want to, especially with all the extra pouches/bags I could attach to it. I would probably start out with a web belt containing 2 one quart GI canteens and a two quarter. I would also have a knife on that belt. Plus I would possibly have a 1 lit SS bottle in each side pocket, or at least one in the Maxped water carrier I acquired. The pack I would fill with clothes, another pair of boots, food and other items needed (ammo for one).

Armor in your pack? That would only help if someone shot you in the back. Or maybe it's to stop bullets from ruining your pack's contents after it goes through you.

I have a plate carrier for the front also if needed Fieldgrun, I have been places that resemble what the USofA will be like if the SHTF and armour on your back to save you from an ambush is just good planing. as always IMHO of course.

I know, I was just kidding. I've worn plenty of armor in theater, but prefer not to have to. Besides, the weather sucks in the sandbox.

lol that it does brother that it does. I like this ar500 because it can take multiple hits without failure so it's reusable unlike the plates we had over there.
