The squirrels around my place will eat nearly anything. Some call them "tree rats."  That's what Dan calls them. HE HATES SQUIRRELS!

We have a healthy dislike of red squirrels around here they will eat holes in your roof, but grey and fox squirrels are all good and they taste good also.

I thought red squirrels were fox squirrels.

Now, stay away from my nuts!!! No Problem DT. I've got Divers something or other. Little Pockets in my intestines where they could get stuck casing the OTHER bad divers something or other. diversticulitis and diversstickulosis or something like that. SO I'm not supposed to eat nuts. Alrighty then, not worried 'bout Randy. But I got my eyes on the rest of you...

Black is a genetic variation of the gray. The top is a pine squirrel. Fox is those red ones that get to be almost as big as a ground hog

Around here the fox (red to us) and grays are pretty much the same size, but the reds are more aggressive.
