I hate that I'm posting this, but computers give Nick migraines. Another great story of anonymous generosity. I really didn't do anything and don't deserve Nick's praises. Nick and I wanted to post this here to spread the word of the generous men that got Nick a knife he could use. How would you feel if you couldn't use a knife? Here's Nick's post: So some of you may know due to an earlier post about a AMS i was injured overseas and due to nerve damage holding my TGLB isnt an option nor is opening my spyderco with 1 hand......well i was contacted by Flux and an anonymous benefactor wanted to send me a SYKCO 4-11 and that he would like to contribute by finding me a sheath. He contacted 3 long time Busse and Kin sheathmakers all of which were willing to make the sheath or had 1 already made. Well everything came together and i am the happy owner of a 4-11 its awsome its kind of hard to explain but i can feel and control it without causing myself pain but still being able to get a good grip and the sheath which came from David Brown is superb holds the 4-11 like a glove and has a great fit and finish and top notch hardware came with a tek loc. Needless to say i love it and would like to thank all those involved .......The Anonymous Benefactor , David Brown, Rainwalker , Azwelke and Flux. I am deeply touched by all of your generosity and i am in debt to you all. And here is the thread. Everyone should go check out his threads. The man nearly got his head blown off defending our country. The-Generosity-of-Hogs http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1087633PLEASE don't give me any recognition for anything. I asked Nick to keep me anonymous, too. I just think this is another awesome story and that Nick's experiences are both tragic and fascinating. Thank the Sheath makers who all pulled through for a wounded soldier, this awesome anonymous donor . One more. Thank you to Scrapyard, for making knives that are so ergonomic and light, not to mention inexpensive and high performing. Nick says that when he gets better, he is going to use it in combat, along with hjs TGLB. I wish he was on here because his stories of using his (what I think to be) original Steel Heart to do everything from fighting, standing on it to climb and flipping burgers.

If anyone else has any other generosity stories where a DOG, HOG, or RAT helped you out, gave you something, or you gave them something, I'd love to hear about it pictures are kind of a must. It gives me faith in humanity to see such a tight knit community. I've got too many to count at this point, but will name a couple.
For one, I was a Scrap Yard fan before I even knew it. I actually used a Dogfather and loved it back in '08-'09 I didn't even realize until recently that I got introduced to Scrap Yard more than 5 years ago, because back then I wasn't really paying attention to what my buddy was letting me play with, knives and Guns, when camping and training on his 100 acres in New Hampshire.(that DF is now mine and is one of my favorites, since it introduced me to the yard.) I traded a BR-1 and a really old Junglas for it and some other steel (I forget what.) The funny thing about that is that all of those knives are still in New Hampshire because I've been too Ill to go back.
Long story short, I found the Scrap Yard site in 2011, sulked for 6 months and finally got a Dog Father off of the exchange. It was Jungle Green and FFG like the LEs and I loved it. I posted on here about sheaths and a few days later, a member who I won't name in case he wants privacy sent me a Dog Father sheath. I was in awe. This generous man saw that I needed a sheath, had an extra and decided that he'd rather I have it and put it to good use. That sheath is currently holding another sweet Scrap Yard chopper. Thanks again man!

I also am someone that has been "Gifted" Bussekin goodness.
First off, a member (Bushman 5)that hasn't posted in a while gave me HIS challenge coin that just happened to be MY JYD number. And later on, someone gave him a coin with HIS JYD number on it.
I was also given (the gifter has never reveled himself) a Mud Puppy LE, #105!
I have been given a few sheaths from generous dogs as well. and as we all know, good leather ain't cheap!
But, the MOST Made me pass out gift, was from the GREAT Dog that gave me a Regulator AND a BWM!
Oh and I have also received some patches from generous Dogs. One is a Busse patch and another is from my favorite series of books, MHI (Monster Hunter International) series of books. It's the smiley face with horns.
And another fine Dog gave me a "Survival bracelet" with the Old Dogs head bead incorporated into it.
So I have been VERY blessed by others out of Brothership. A brothership that we all find so.... Well you know.
And as we all know, "Long Live the Brotherhood Of The Yard"

This place has a "Feel" unlike I have ever felt on any other site. And Yes, it's because of the people.
