Rich, is the Rat 1 the original issue or after Ontario and Randall split?

Cool design really. Well thought out and executed...for $30! I've been itching for a beater for some reason and this is perfect..

I like the lines of the ESEE folder. May have to look into that one.

I'm with you Todd. It does look nice. And I am glad to see the thumb stud is very close to the scales when it is open. I just HATE it when the thumb stud is way out from the scales when the knife is open.
PERSONALLY I like the Spidy hole. Nothing to get in the way of cutting the entire blade length.

I agree, I found many South African makers just skip it all together and use a lip opening mechanism. This is one of my most used knives apart from my Des Horn Imvubu a Burger knives LEXK. ![[Linked Image from i840.photobucket.com]](http://i840.photobucket.com/albums/zz325/geronki2/utf-8BRFNDMDMyMTcgKDgwMHg2MDApLmpwZw_zps823fcb89.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i840.photobucket.com]](http://i840.photobucket.com/albums/zz325/geronki2/utf-8BRFNDMDMyMjcgKDgwMHg2MDApLmpwZw_zps06cf22c1.jpg) | | |

Yeah, you were right on the Rat- what a great folder and for $30? Crazy good knife.
The military is BIG...buy after the Rat, not too crazy and it's an interesting design.
