Evening guys. Ok, so I'm looking at a 1977 6 inch barrel colt python, supposedly solid other than the nickel finish is rough and peeling. It would have to be sent in, either to colt or some other gunsmith to be refinished ( blued maybe). Any suggestions for a good price?

I know in reasonable shape any of the snake guns go for 4 figures around this neck of the woods but as they say condition is everything I personally would consider it a win at 500 or under but that may be unrealistic.

Morning. $320 is a great price if the barrel is clean. Even if you spend $500 on refinishing you got a good deal. I've seen them for $1400 or more around here.

That's kinda what I was figuring, once I see the condition of the finish on the barrel, ( I'm actually concerned with possible pitting, etc) then ill drive over and check the inside, lock up, etc in person. I've always wanted one, and supposedly it shoots great, so we shall see.
