some sweet new steel guys. congrats!

here is my new custom from a local maker I just found.
Its 1095 with canvas micarta scales.

Looks like a good one for working on deer.

That is exactly what it is designed for and the thin blade gives it the perfect amount of flex for deboning. I am excited to try it out.

Well, these are not new, I have had them both for some time.

My First Emerson, the CQC7A, 3.3 inch stonewashed blade.


Then a couple years later I added his mean brother, the Combat Karambit folder, 2.6 inch blade



Like I said, the two knives above I have had for some time, The cqc7 I think I got back in 2009 and the Combat Karambit in 2011.

Now this feller should be here Monday. The Meaner Bigger Brother, the Emerson Fixed blade Karambit, 3.2 inch blade, 7.6 inches overall. 1/8 inch thick CM154 steel. It'll work.

Nice! I think that blade style would get me put right in jail for possession. (Unless the officer decided to confiscate it.)

Randy, do you practice FMA?

Ray, nope. There's not anyplace close around here, I just go over things in my head and practice some what I have seen on videos. I know it's not very good, but at least it's better than nothing at all.

I Know I can do it IF I HAVE no choice. I've had to use a weapon before.

It ALMOST goes without saying that I need the Super Karambit (Folder) as well, but I actually think I will pass on that one.

I like the Wave opener on that fixed blade.

It should work as a beer opener...
