That's assuming that you have a good supply of ammo.  Not everyone lives near the military installations and might be caught short.

I would go for something that would take a 5.56 NATO - ammo would be in almost any police station, military base, gun shop, etc. May be able to find something laying on the ground with someone's hand still attached to it. I would certainly pick the 1311 as my one knife. Light enough to carry all day and big enough to do some wood choppin' - anything smaller than the 1311 I can make on the run or just hunt around for a carton knife.

Ruger 10/22 Takedown in Stainless (I like the Mossy Oak version) with a few 25 round mags and a sack full of ammo. Twist on a Silencerco Sparrow suppressor and you are good to go.
1311 for up close and personal. Is there any other choice?
