Well the Res C 911 is very comfortable and shock absorbing, but it did give me a blister. That would be becasue my hands are ladylike and all arty and musiciany.

The R9 is very comfortable too. I love the handles on these things. They look odd and feel odd at first grasp but when you start wailing with it, you can understand why it's designed the way it is. Rolls with your hand nicely and no hot spots. For me anyway.
I have say the R9 chopped better than the 911, but not drastically. They both have the same blade length, but the R9 has the larger full exposed tang handle which makes them two very different knives to use.
