Well Randy, tomorrow morning the General is going to visit her Mom for about a week, so I'll be "batching" it again. It's raining and windy right now, but it should be gone just past daylight. Otherwise, I'm doing just fine!

Even we (well I) gripe and complain, it is a nice place to live. It's just that we (I) am not happy with him trying (along with congress help) to turn it into a socialist country. We just aren't used to that type of government here.

the 30-06 is a good round. It's a lot more versatile/useful than a lot of folks realize. I mean it's basically a long .308.

No, she is actually doing pretty well, all things considered. She will be getting her head shaved in the next couple of days though, and she already bought a wig. I spoke with her today when she called and she sounded good.

the 30-06 is a good round. It's a lot more versatile/useful than a lot of folks realize. I mean it's basically a long .308. But the 220gr bullets make a difference. And some loads really high power, near the 300WM. Now, what I really need is a proper self loading equipment.

Yeah with a reloading outfit you can make rounds to do anything from shooting Varmints to taking out Elephants!

The 220 grain .30-.06 round is good for larger/tougher game such as hogs, elk, or bears at somewhat shorter range. It just is not ballistically designed for longer ranges.

But the bullet has quite good ballistic coefficiency because it´s so long. I remember that some bullet manufacturer offers fmj bullets in that weight range. Those would be interesting to try out.
