Ok, so while we wait, I figured it's a good time to generate more posts on our way to 1 million AND get everyone ready for the new release. So here's a contest. There's no prize, and the rules are simple. Everyone interested in participating, post here. Starting in a few days--Thanksgiving or Black Friday maybe?--those participating will begin posting like the wind! The goal is to get 1k posts from where ever you are. If you are already at 1k, the goal is to hit 2k. If you are at 3,158, your goal is 4,158. Hopefully, we can get the stragglers and the lurkers in here posting to get everyone up to AT LEAST 1k by the time the next release is announced (sometimes there is something special for JYDs).
So, if interested, post "I'm in" in this thread. We'll set a start date, and then on that date, everyone posts like crazy in this thread till ya hit another 1k. Conversations? Sure! Political screeds? Why not! Incoherent rambling? It's what I do best! One word posts? It's all good! Post where you want, but I'd say, let's keep the nonsensical stuff (one word posts etc) in this thread to keep the clutter down.
First one to (an additional) 1k gets bragging rights and can add it to your signature line! It'll have to be an honor thing since I refuse to keep track of metrics. But once you hit your 1k mark, shout it out in this thread (or maybe we start a "Keeping Track" thread), and we can keep track of who gets there in what order.
If no one wants to do this thing, then it will die a miserable quiet little death at the bottom of the page. Otherwise, maybe we can generate 200+ pages in this thread within the first week of "go" :grin"
So, who's in? Say aye!

I suggest that when a Dog posts his/hers first competition post the starting number of posts would be added into that post so that every one can check the winning claim when it´s presented.
