It is a small thing but my avatar for the month of November is always my uncles that served

I am one of the few in my immediatte family who didn't serve in combat.

Personally I joined the AF in FEB 1974 and got to the Philippines in August just as Vietnam was winding down. I am considered a Vietnam ERA vet, NOT a Vietnam vet.

I was Stationed in Japan during Desert Storm/shield. So I am a Veteran of two ERA's without being in "the war".
