I think the FBM is at most 10% better than the Dogfather and that is in edge retention and corrosion resistance mostly. As far as impact resistance and springyness the dog is probably very close to the FBM. I like the RES C handle much better as well. Rust is not a big a deal on a coated knife.
I am really looking forward to the bowie as I don't have one and have always wanted one.

I'm using birthday money for the bowie. I had it targeted at a new fishing pole. However, that'll have to wait.

At least the Dog is cheap enough to really use... I just couldn't abuse a FBM due to cost even if I liked micarta and would buy one.

i've yet to see a broken battle mistress. i am gonna beat the livin snot out of this bowie as long and often as i can. i will pry open a bank vault. i will whack the spine with triple ought flyin out the muzzle end. i will chop infi.
