I was thinking about your comments when I took the shots mike. Try and guss where the animal is going and wait for it!

The fox ended up about 10' away from me. It was worth the frostbite!

A funny note, I ended up setting the camera to underexpose some shots as the cold was slowing the shutter down significantly! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Oh, and I am smiling cause the dr stuff is over so I have some down time to relax and decompress. Tomorrow night is guinness night with a buddy!

The animal he caught looked a lot like a shrew actually!

I can't explain how exciting it was to have the fox that close, however I think you probably know the feeling better than I!

It's hard for me to be sure, from the picture, but that looks too large to be any specie of shrew, IMO. Those feet make me wonder whether it's some specie of mole. DO you have moles in Whitehorse?

It's always exciting to be close to wild animals, even when I get close to them every day.

I'm so pleased you were able to apply the concept of figuring out where an animal wants to be, then going there first, and waiting for it to come to you.
