mike, I know you were concerned about the water resistance of a UV light, so I was thinking about how much weight is an issue for you. they're very compact, so I was wondering if it would be possible just to toss one in something waterproof if it isn't going to be your primary light, and just keep your regular light out? I'm sure you have some gear you have to keep isolated from moisture while you're making your way to various sites.

you're welcome. just make sure to eat hearty. it's important to get enough calories when you have a metabolism like we do, especially this time of year.

I'm not sure how much throw I need. My subjects will often be fairly close, but hard to find. Some of them will be under water, which will cause some light loss.
