OK, since I'm a copy cat (well sort of) here are the promised pictures of my GREEN handled GTI folder from Justin Gingrich. But first here are the specs.
Blade length is 3.5 to the Handle with 3 1/8th cutting edge
Handle length is 5 inches
Blade height is 1.5
Blade thickness 3/16ths
Handle thickness 5/8ths
Overall weight 7.2oz (per Private Klink)
Not sure of the weight on it. You can have the blade engraved for an extra $10. Hope that helps and if there is anything I can do just let me know. On a side note you now have your choice of green or black handles.
Now the good stuff.
It is a VERY well made folder. It's fairly heavy but carries surprisingly well in the pocket. And when you whip this bad boy out, people take notice!
The fit and finish are fantastic. Couldn't find a blemish anywhere or anything out of line, and I looked.
The liner lock is bank vault solid and is pretty close to an eighth of an inch thick. You could destroy a Buick with this thing.
The feel in the hand is spot on as well and when held in the sabre grip your thumb falls right at the end of the handle and the blade continues the slight "Up hill" rise with a small GRADUAL hump that you should be able to see in the pics.
Only suggestion I can think of is that there could have been some small jimping where the blade and handle overlap. Other than that, I can't find anything that I don't like about it, so far. We will see but I don't figure I'll change my mind.
I switched up the pocket clip to allow for tip down carry today. I was less than happy. It seems that when you move the clip to allow for tip down carry the thumb studs catch on the top of your pocket coming out and going back in. At least they did for me. Oh well no big deal I just put them back to the (as it comes) tip up carry
If you notice the picture quality, the first two are mine and the rest Patty took. She purposely didn't use the flash in the last picture so the I Love Me etching would show.
