Gotta Love SR101 though. Absolutely wonderful stuff as long as your willing to take care of it. Definitely one of my favorites!

Should be. It's basically 5200 steel--one of the best carbon steels out there for knife making. The heat treat makes it good!

1095 is great stuff too, I totally agree. I've got quite a few favorites in that myself.
