I was offered an assignment to area 51 back in 84 or 85 and turned it down. Didn't like the fact that I may be stuck "On base" for 3-4 days with NO contact with my family.

I was once offered a weekend visit to the BR 1G when my Army unit visited Coronado Beach.
The Squids didn't like my choice of cadence when we were running through their family housing area at 0630hrs.
