I've given away a few, and swapped a few. Both have been fulfilling.

Thank you all for your responses. Its pretty cool there's an outlet like this where theres people who take their knives serious and can relate to that emotion you feel when it comes to buying or selling a blade.
All good responses in a scenario that is tough to really appreciate unless you've been there. Thanks guys-

I notice a pattern developing here. Most of the members of the Dog Choir are pack rats when it comes to their steel. And????????????????????????

Sometimes 9 inches is too much blade for me. Sometimes it is just right. Yesterday, I was making stakes from branches I had just removed and a 7 inch knife was just perfect. Later on I was chopping of a few more limbs and I decided to switch to a 9 inch blade.

I'd keep it, but then I'm still waiting to hear if I'm even getting one, with it getting on for a month since I paid for it.
Like the others have said, if you don't need the cash, hang on to it. Should the time come when you do decide it's time to let go, I doubt you are going to struggle to find it a new and loving home.
