I just signed up today after stumbling onto the name "Scrap Yard Knives" in the Knife Forums a few days ago. The reason for my post is simple, I have tried to contact Scrap Yard through the e-mail contacts and have had No Joy. I want to buy one of these knives and try it out, but it seems they are sold out and from further reading on this forum, it appears that many have pre-ordered. How do you know what to order when you can't find a picture of the knife and how do I know which ones will be in production?

So, in plain words....******HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!!!

Hi, Sorry you haven't been able to reach me by e-mail. The address is, for future times, patti@scrapyardknives.com. We are currently out of stock on the knives. There are pictures of them on our web-site. We are currently awaiting the new line also. Check out the Bowie pics on the forum here. Any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

Welcome to the pound. I stumbled onto the website also but was lucky enough that both scappers were in stock. I went with the black coated one, you WILL not be sorry if you get one. They are truley a sweet piece of steel. Stick around a definitely take a look at the bowie that is due to be coming soon, the rest of us are drooling all over the pics.

AKMATT - Howdy and Welcome to the Scrap Yard!! I understand the frustration of having to wait for the knives, but as Cazio said they are WELL worth the wait! Many of us are waiting for the soon-to-be-released Bowie, and it's not easy. But we know that it will be a great knife, just like the Scrappers are. I know- I got BOTH models! Sweet steel!!! Tom

Thanks Patti and others. I think the Bowie was part of the confusion as I was unclear if it was a prototype or a planned production knife. Since one model was listed at the website with 2 versions and both are unavailable, I figured I better join the forum and get the "Skinny" from those who know...users and loyal customers. I did notice that no one is complaining about quality just availability. That makes me think I am in the right place.

Welcome to the Yard AKMATT!

The Scrapper 6 is an amazing knife!! I have seen them for sale on other forums. I hope you DO get the opportunity to get one!! If not, then maybe the Bowie will be the one you want.

LF how can you make nice shiny leather sheathes if you don't have the mudder?? Surely it's a business expense that can be partially written off? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />
