Hey guys, talking about small necker knifes, I thought about getting the Scrapivore a while ago - somehow I decided against it and bought an Izula II with handles.
I LOVE this knive! But I still consider testing the Scrapivore and ordering it with my next order.
Can someone please say something about the ergos and the general experience - awesome would be if you have the Izula II and can compare it.

I would recommend a Swamp Warden or if you do decide to get a Scrapivore order for the WRONG hand. They are 'handed' so if you plan on using it in your right hand - order a left hand model.

I've found the pry bar to be uncomfortable (digs in the palm of your hand), but if you order "the wrong hand" the pry bar doesn't hurt as much.

They are scary sharp.

ARCH! I was just thinking about sending you an email yesterday. How goes you and the misses? Hows the home place turning out?

Right on!
I am left handed, and got a lefthanded one, which dug into my hand.
Now I have stripped it, and rounded the one side of the pry bar. Now it is nice and comfortable.

I love my Izula, and I'm pretty fond of my Scrapivore too. I wouldn't turn around for the difference myself, but they're both fine little neck knives.

We're doing great - we're tired and dirty. We've been planting our vegetable garden and replacing all of the fruit trees / vineyard items that didn't make it through the winter.

Hehe, did you cut back on your tomato plants this year? wink
Oh BTW, I am VERY glad you are posting again.

Doesn't the Izula have a shorter blade?

My real complaint with all of the listed knives is the blade length. The handle of the Warden is comfortable enough for the knife's intended purpose but they lack blade length. We've used them for food prep, and they just don't have quite enough blade. Another 1/2" would make them much more usable.

I sold all of my 'Vores because they hurt my hand. I still have FIVE Wardens, but plan on thinning that herd in anticipation of some other small offering. (I just couldn't warm up to the 311 and the 411 is a great knife, but too big for "minimalist carry", etc).

The Rodent Solution was nice, but very "butt heavy". The grip made the blade difficult to use.

I'm going to try out my new Leaner Meaner. This has real promise

The Izula and the Scrapivore have the same length blade, iirc. I used the same sheath for both of them.

Thanks Tom. I've been pretty busy lately, but will try to drop by to see what's going on.

rth, I might of been thinking of the handle length between the Warden and Izula.

I love my Izula. I chose it over the scrapivore because of blade shape, more belly on the Izula, also heard the handles were a bit uncomfortable. I still want one though, you can never have too many knives especially bussekin.
