Good mornin Dogs. Tom, if Patty were to do that for me around here, it would have to be Sam’s Club. We don’t have any Costco stores around here.

Oh BTW, I got a VERY pleasant surprise Yesterday. I was given a free Karambit in a knife drawing! Well actually it wasn’t IN the drawing. The maker said since I can only watch maybe 30 minutes of their 2 hour long Sunday Morning Video/podcast type thingies cause we are getting ready for church and missing out on the drawings, he was tearing up the check I had sent for my latest acquisition. They usually give away 3 or 4 knives and Merch every Sunday.

I heard the Chair Force fitness test consisted of sitting down in a chair and getting back up ten times in an hour. smile

Hey Ray, don”t feel bad. I’m (only) 70 and I couldn’t pass an Air Force fitness test either. grin

Oh wait, there wasn’t even an Air Force Waaaaay back then! Man, I guess you ARE old. wink

MB. Some of the best times I had at the range was when my wife went with me. She is a good shot and doesn’t like semi-auto pistols. So her favorite pistol is a .357 magnum. The first time we qualified for CCW permit, she beat me by 2 points. I was proud of her. My only regret was that she didn’t like competition shooting and rarely joined me in that. That would have been so much fun.

That was a low blow. But probably correct. But I do have to say that Randy still seems a bit sharper.

Thank you all for the kind words. Over the last few years I have left many forums because I didn’t like the lack of civility displayed there. This is just about the only one I am active in. I love the comradery, fun and good natured ribbing here. Even though I’m 78 now and probably could not pass even an Air Force fitness test, I can still work a keyboard. Thanks for all the good times.

I checked them out recently. The prices weren't as bad as they could be. I usually buy at least a case at a time. I go through around a case every 2 months just to stay proficient. For what I'm getting per case I'm not sure reloading would save me much. But it would give me something to do during the long winters.

MB, you might want to check out Ammo Squared so your ammo outlay isn’t so great all at once. Either that or start hand loading.

Morning Yard!

My wife and I have been trying to do something fun and different at least once a week this summer.

I go to the range pretty often and she rarely goes. She has never shot at the range I currently use. She went with me today and had a blast. It has to have been at least 4 years since she shot. Probably the last time she shot was when she qualified with her duty pistol before she retired.

She did great and had a lot of fun. We shot a bunch of steel reactive targets and I introduced her to red dots and compensated pistols. Based on her reaction I'm going to have to up my ammo budget. She was cleaning the plate rack from 15 yards without issue.

It was nice to see her having fun and excited about shooting again. I'm hoping she will start CCW'ing again.

Happy Birthday Ray. And yes, the humor and “ribbing” brings a smile to our faces.
