Yes Ray, it's really sad what subsequent generations have turned into. It remind me of when Nikita Kruschev stated that "my grandchildren will bury your grandchildren" years ago. Our population continues to grow weaker while our enemies grow stronger.

I agree with you , Tom. My family and my neighbor’s families all went through the Depression and WW2. I do not remember anybody complaining about what they went through. Contrast that with the average posts on YouTube or TikTok where people complain that their lives were ruined because someone unfriended them.

My father joined the Navy right after the attack and served in the South Pacific. A friend of mine, now deceased, was in the Marine barracks when the attack took place. He said they all ran out with their rifles, shooting at planes as they ran. I used to call him every Dec. 7th just to let him know that I was thinking of him. Those men had tremendous courage.

My Dad was a navigator on a PBY stationed at Pearl. On Dec 7, he was home on Christmas leave. He managed to avoid, sometimes barely, any more unpleasant experiences. My uncle was a Marine fighter pilot who was in the US for training on that day. He later fought in the Pacific also. My family never forgets Dec. 7. May they rest in peace.

Let's all bark out a loud HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Mr. & Mrs. Skunkhunter, a.k.a. Randy and Patty. I hope that you two have a great day celebrating, and Randy, spend a little bit of your wealth and take your bride out for dinner.

We have a 2011 Subaru Legacy. It has been great. Reliable, low maintenance and does incredibly well in the snow. That one is going to my daughter. I wanted to keep it as a beater commuter work car, but my wife wanted the kid to have a reliable car.
She had bought a piece o junk and then put a bunch of money into it to make a semi reliable car. If it starts it might get you there. But it looks like she should be selling meth and weed in a 7-11 parking lot.
I'm a fan of Subaru just not the outback. If there is an outback on the road when I'm on my motorcycle it will probably try to kill me. Double that if it has Washington plates.
It doesn't get much more Red neck than here. Plenty of these things on the road here. Because they are practical.

Good afternoon Yard.
M/B, one of the best things about the Subarus is the safety factor. We strongly considered the Legacy, but we went with the 2017 Toyota Camry because it had slightly more room and a great reputation for reliability. Your wife should be very happy with the Outback as there are a lot of happy owners on the road.

Afternoon Yard!
We finally went car shopping after a ton of research and picked up a new car for my wife. A Subaru Outback. As much as I don't care for the Outback (they are pretty ugly) it definitely fit the bill. Very practical. Its a nice car. Leather, heated seats and steering wheel. Kinda nice for winters here.
I'm sticking with my old truck, but that thing will be nice on trips.
