Hello M/B, and I hope you're right. Preps should include water, food, back-up power, communication, heating, cooking, and cooling along with self defense and good shelter.

I don't think the base prep is too concerning other than timing. I'm guessing most people here are fairly well prepared for most things.

Did you see on the news that the government is ordering all the bases to improve their "Doomsday Plan" and be prepared for three months without additional outside help ? Everything from food, water, power, ammo, etc.

I hope folks are taking preparedness seriously ; the UK and Japan are already telling their people to have a minimum of three days supplies for whatever disaster may occur whether it is natural or man-made. I'm not trying to sound like "chicken little" but I would take this as a word to the wise.

Picked up a Victorinox Ranger 78 M Grip the other day. Has a locking blade and a saw blade. I think I’ll put in a pouch I cobbled together to put on my Victorinox Venture fixed blade.

I have been seeing commercials for Montana Knife Company while watching programs on DISH network. They even use "30 years in the making" for their folding knife ; sounds a LOT like Busse's line.
