I will add more to this thread later (time permitting)as I dont have time to type now but knives are used for making traps, building fires, shelter,food prep, carving tools like spoons/forks/digging sticks, making walking sticks, building firebows, prying dead logs to harvest food, making weapons like spears, bows, arrows, throwing sticks, atlatls, they can be used for pealing bark off willow for medicine, skinning and tanning hides. Many, many uses for the knife. It could take weeks to explain their usefulness.
