The A2 is exactly 370 grams as it comes from the factory. It is less heavier than the Skinny version of ASH (which is somewhere around 430 grams). But in the hand it feels heavier because of the forward balance. It makes a very good chopper for its weight, but not the best for its length. The steel is really good (one of the very few stainless that you can say is good), the only problem of it is that it chips easy, compared to INFI or SR77. The knife itself will stay in one piece under abuse, but without the edge and the tip. But if you don't abuse it, it's really a very good knife. You feel it heavy in the hand, but lightweight in your backpack.

I never thought of the A2 as being that big, it does look similar in size to what I imagine the SOD to be. I'd be interesting to see those two side by side... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

It is one centimeter longer than the SOD (but I think it's less wider).
I posted some parallel reviews with the A2 and the Skinny ASH some time ago and I will post some pictures with the SOD and the A2 after I receive my SOD.
