i guess i understand the cargo van b.c as far as they knew, there was no one else alive and leaving the van open would make it easy to see if anything managed to get inside...

Vic, sorry, I know its unrealistic to begin with, but given the situation was actually real, it wouldn't hurt to use some common sense? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
I think its fun to pick apart these things, sorry all, no harm meant, the show is really entertaining though.
