awesome, alot more Dogs listen to Metal than I expected!

I'm a metalhead, but my tastes are more modern, and European Metal/Black Metal/Death Metal makes up the majority of the hard stuff I listen to.

I've recently been getting into the Technical Metal Genre, Bands like Necrophagist, Meshuggah, Gorod (one of my favorites, the dissonant/harmonious quality of each guitar relative to the other is amazing!), and a prog-Metal band called Tesseract. Having learned guitar, I find I appreciate music in a different manner than I did before I learned an instrument. I noticed a lot of the bands I used to think were amazing and super technical actually kinda.... weren't . I'll listen to pretty much anything, but if it doesn't really hook me, it ends up on my zune and I never listen to it (Blind Gaurdian *cough*). The more technical the better, is my rule of thumb. If it takes some serious talent to play it, I respect that. I don't mean to disrespect the thousands of artists out there, but I wade through a lot of crap before I find something I like.

I'm definitely not limited in my tastes though, I have alot of Reggae and SKA in my collection, and DJ-Tiesto figures prominently into my techo/trance listening. I even have some Katy Perry, makes for great workout music!
Watch it Soulforged and Bright Eyes are two of my favorite songs
