If it is a true survival situation a stove doesn't make sense where I live. All you would need is the ability to build a fire.

That said, I do have a little camping stove to comply with rules certain places. It is a little Vargo titanium job that burns alcohol.


Today I bought 40 pounds of beans and put them in new 5 gallon buckets. Bought a case of protein bars too. Not super survivally stuff but I could stay at the house for several weeks with that many pounds of beans I think.

I have about a half cord of seasoned wood I could cook over not to mention the grill etc.
