OK, so a bunch of Executive Orders were unleashed this morning along with fuzzy feelings and the laughter of children.

Aside from the Executive Orders, there were continued support for AWB and standard capacity magazine bans. So I guess we keep writing and calling. Saturday you should go to your state capitol if you can. If you live in America and enjoy using and collecting knives, you need to do these things. It doesn't even matter if you never intend to own a firearm.

Mostly it seems like feel good "we did something" stuff, but there are a couple of concerning items in there. Overall it translates into:

* Tougher instant checks (which might not be bad)
* The possibility of instant checks being logged for much longer, but the states will ultimately have the final say I think, since a lot of states do not allow this
* Possible private transfers have to go through FFL no matter what
* More people in charge of what you can own (doctors, local police, etc.)
* A new head of the ATF
