From what I heard, there is a large production backlog from distributors, so if one distributor is waiting for 2000 guns from one manufacturer, the 250 shops they supply won't see them until the order is complete.

As for reloading supplies and cheap ammo, apparently the govt isn't selling their spent brass to the open market like they are supposed to by law, and destroys it instead. If they don't feed at least the alloy back into the market to make new virgin brass, manufacturers could have a hard time even finding raw materials.

I think right now is a great time to start some more firearms and ammo companies. If you can get a loan from a bank that isn't against those kinds of companies. Come to think of it, might be a grand time to start a bank specifically for that purpose <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
