To this point, that's me as well.

I have a lot of EXPENSIVE Busse Combats that I don't want to use, because of loss of value...however...if I needed to I know they're the best of the best.

Having said that, I'm starting to consider selling off those in favor of a smaller core group of knives that will actually get used.

I love how everyone found Busse(kin) because of their search for the ultimate brute in durability.

I'm an uncomfortable collector. I love my blades, wish I could own a thousand, but then I get antsy if they aren't being used.

I have a case of the guilts for having a Rat Hunter...haven't even cut paper! I'll get a bow license though and try and get it bloody..knowing my bow skills so far...that is not likely!

I THINK I have 16 or 17 Yard and Kin blades. WAY more than I'll ever use, but I just can't stand the thought of getting rid of any of them, UNLESS there was something I really wanted, then I MIGHT do a trade of some sort, I have before.

I have more blades than I could use in ten life times, but I don't buy a knife that I could not use for its geven purpose, be it a fine skinner or a sharpened pry bar. I LIKE knives, I need no other justification to own them than that, but there are certain qualities that draw me to a knife that mean I end up with some very very useful tools as well. I have next to NO LEs for this very reason and the few i do, well yes, if push came to shove they would pull duty with the rest.

Oh... in all the playing with Busse/Kin blades I have done in the last few years I have parted with just one that made it through my front door.

All of mine are users except
A cheap made in China folder that a nephew bought for me one Christmas and a Case Western Bowie that sees light use

I don't think I will ever find the "perfect" knife since what I carry seems to change with my mood, as well as what I will be doing.

Like almost everyone else, all of my Busse and kin are quite capable of doing the job whether they have been used or not. Same with the folders I own. I do keep some cheap blades in my truck, so if they get stolen, I won't feel bad.

I also have a few blades which have tasted blood, but not been used, if you know what I mean. ;-)

I'm firmly in the 'users' camp, even if I have more than I could use in my lifetime. I started out with a Buck Nighthawk (hence my moniker) and worked my way up to where I am today, where my Scrapper 5LE sits atop the pile.

In the process I've bought and sold more knives than I can recall, and even now I'm looking at the ones I used to think I could never sell and wondering if they will ever do anything except gather dust.

Have not bought one knife (aside from the Rambo knife almost 15 years ago) that I would not use.
There were a very few I have passed on, mostly as gifts only ever sold 2, knowing that the quality was there, there just was no compatibility with me.
Ever since I got on the Busse/Kin train I always asses the handle if it would work for me. I didn't get a Boss Jack because it didn't look all that hand friendly to me.
