Earlier when we were making lists of this or that knife, I FINALLY remembered my BWM. It is such a nice versatile knife but means so much that I rarely remember it. When I first got it the handle really hurt my hand. The tops of the handle grooves were SHARP! But as I used it some they wore down to where they don't hurt any more. But seeing as how it was a gift I am hesitant to use it which is stupid. I know the Dog that gave it to me would want me to enjoy it, and not just for it's looks.

That is one that has always interested me. However, before I got around to buying one I went "all Kin". That rule, I am sad to announce, was broken today. I bought a Grayman fixed blade, because they have intrigued me for a long time and have some interesting designs.

He's supposed to make some tough blades.

HBO series based on a book series. Best show on TV.

If I have time at work tonight, and don't forget, I'll have to go over my list of Busse Kin blades and see what I could get by with, for a 2,3, and 4 blade battery.

I've really been working on this the past month or so, just trying to get down to knives I will really have a use for.

We don't have the freedom to carry the way most of y'all do, so here's how things work round my place:

#1 - Victorinox Super Tinker - does pretty much everything I need on a daily basis

#2 - Leatherman Wave (about to be replaced by a Charge TTi) - see #1 but with a bit more grunt

Moving into the "need to have a good explanation why you are carrying it" realms:

#3 - a good reliable folder. After much trial and error I've settled on the Ontario Rat-1 and Zero Tolerance 550.

Then on to specific purpose blades:

#4 - mid-size 'do it all' camp knife. Either my newly acquired S5LE or my RMD.

#5 - heavy duty camp/bush chopper - right now a Becker BK-9 but I'm pretty sure there's a 911 in my near future

#6 - hunting fixed blade - right now a Buck Vanguard, Becker BK-15 or BRKT Fox River.

As to how many are enough, it depends. For me, in a theoretical SHTF scenario for instance, I could happily make do with my Super Tinker, Charge TTi, ZT550, S5LE and a 911.

If I was going bush with the family, then I'm going to want to double up on some of those categories for my wife and kids. For instance, my ten year old son recently started coming along on hunting trips. He carries a Fallkniven F1 for now but will grow into some of the others I have as time goes on.

I would be torn. I have too many knives anyway. So im not concerned with having enough. I know that made no sense except to me.

My pocket knife is a GEC Bullnose. Im not to tactical with knives. A traditional lock back in O1?...Yes please! Great knife.

Esee 3. Wonderful knife. But is a wonderful general purpose bushcraft/hunting knife.

SOD. If this was the only knife I had I wouldn't really be under knifed. I figure I could do any and everything with it. It may not be the most ideal but it could do as a 1 knife option. S7 is durable and easy to maintain.

NMFBM. If it was a SHTF situation I would take mine. Weight is not a concern to me. Because the amount of work this knife can do outweighs the negative. Its my grail.
