I know this is covered but I guess I am looking for a short sharp answer... wink

I am interested in a solar charger for the pack. I don't use this gear regularly as I, for the most part don't need power or have it covered with a couple of spare AA batteries.

There are however times where I would want to now charge some AAs/CR123 batteries and maybe recharge an iPhone (that I hate with an almost psychotic passion - but it was issued and forced upon me...!!!).

What is the popular direction on these chargers ????

Andy

I didn't know a rechargeable CR123 was available.

I've seen them mentioned a few times.

Battery Junction has them I know, and I am sure other outlets do as well.

I guess I'm showing my aversion to electricity and all things tech.

I am trying to get my field gear (GPS, camera light) all on AAs, not easy though, my favourite working lights are all CR123s and the same live in my pack at the moment. Looking at a Zebralight that runs on one AA and is 300lms to this end.

There are few time I see the need for field charging but those are such that it is a capacity I would like to have. Soft and roll up is my goal with it.
