So I got a ljs low profile gas block. It's the set screw type. It's identical to the Troy and is made by the same machine shop. Just $19. Planning on tomorrow ordering a 20" 410 stainless blackened SAM-R barrel from bcm. Then as soon as I can afford it a voltor MUR. And then I'm torn between saving for a DD light rail 3 15 in rail or getting the Troy sdmr 15 in rail. Add a auto BCG ( not sure whose yet)
With a bcm gun fighter charging handle then just folding sight flash hider and gas tube smile any thoughts or ideas with these parts and this build?

You're ordering a barrel and charging handle from bcm, might as well get an M16 bcg from them too. They're good.

Ok. Good point. The cheapest I've found the voltor MUR is at ranier arms for $189

The bcm m16 bcg is $169. While it's not the cheapest, I personally feel you're getting MORE than you are paying for. Take a look at the reviews.

True. What do you think about the barrel

I though it sounded like a good barrel for the money. Haven't seen hand lapped match barrels for less than $400

Yep, that's what I read too. Watched a YouTube video last night and saw it in hand, that owner thought the "it's so big..." talk is overblown a bit. That was good to hear.

Another dealer who has a SCAR17 wants both the M1A and SLR107 with another $500 on top that's $2800 for the SCAR. Was tempting because I could walk with it but that's just too steep for me to stomach.

holding that SCAR17 sure made it hard to walk away. I almost had forgotten how light they are.

I have never been a fan of quad rails, I prefer the Magpul hand guards.
YMMV
