I'm still leaning toward the DD light rail lll but it's like $395
The Troy SDMR is $100 less but then later to add rail sections the cost adds up fast. I've never used key mod so is it better to just spend the money and get all the rail or get a key mod and add later. I'm guessing when it's all said and done the two will cost about the same and weigh about the same.

If you had to pick between these or a 15in aluminum rail what would y'all pick?

Goodbye M1A!

Now just have to see what I can do with the SLR107. I don't find many local folks who care about any differences between a $500 AK and a $1000 AK. I'm thinking I may have to list this one online.

Congrats Lazi.

GD I would go for the keymod because usually a 2 inch rail is more than enough so not having the full length rails will save weight.

Congrats. I'd love to have the 107 but it's bad timing since I just started this AR.

Guess he's choosing from a pretty elite/sweet group! Can't go wrong with any I guess. Helped push me over the edge...will try and get a Dan Wesson Heritage at some point I think...

In other news, bought bulk 22 lr today...for like the 6-7x in last few weeks. Woohoo!

My attempt at scoping a couple rifles didn't work out but Eh...

I am still wanting a light folding x39 "bullet hose" so next week I may go ahead and order a VS58. Maybe that will help me get the 107 on out the door. I

I don't know much about 1911 pistols but I was like a moth to a flame at the last gun show. I don't know what it was about that particular Dan Wesson but I had to handle it. If I was a 1911 guy the DW would certainly be high on my list.

Lazi,

From what I hear, the S&W 1911s pull off that eternal extractor flawlessly, which is akin to ancient voodoo when it comes to that platform, haha. I've always had a spiritual connection with the 1911, it just fits the hand.

I love the 1911!!! But as a machinest I'm saddened by all the MIM parts now being sold to poor unsuspecting 1911 fans
