Anybody have any suggestions for super slim 1911 Grips that will look good on a Kimber Desert Warrior? I was thinking something in FDE, since I always thought the tan grips on an FDE pistol looked kinda silly. I can't quite get my tiny nubs around the stock golfball grips, and the resultant bad trigger finger placement is throwing my shot groups significantly.

Sorry, but the standard or custom size ones always worked for me on the 1911.

I know there is a Nighthawk/Heinie slim frame 1911 with thin grips. I wonder if they would fit a standard frame.

I just placed an order with Bud's for a DPMS GII Hunter.

I actually broke into a sweat when I let the mouse hover over the "confirm order" button too long. Does anyone else do that when they're about to make a large cash purchase?

I prefer to keep the little sweats to when the credit card bill comes in, and the big sweats, chills, and the "but, but, but" till my wife sees the credit card bill.

Mastiff, that last part is exactly why I broke into a sweat. I know what's coming. This was a cash purchase so the effects will be immediate.

YUP, been there done that, more than once. It's always the same until it's done. Oh and not just for cash purchases.

I am sure that many of you fans of things that go boom already know, But I found it interesting that the XDs (at least) was made in Croatia. AND the paddle holster and I am sure the double mag pouch was made in Israel. For some reason I kind of like that.

Oh and I watched a video of a guy that "Colored" in the roll markings on his XD with white paint. Man did it look pretty. He just thinned down some GOOD craft paint and dabbed it on with a needle so it would run down into all the nooks and crannies, let it dry for an hour and wiped off the excess with a Hoppe's No. 9 saturated cloth.
