I just ordered a Fisher F2 as from all my reading it is the best beginner closely followed by the Garrett ace 250. I have been wanting to get one for a long time as it involves three of my favorite things (the outdoors, treasure, and history) does anyone else do it?

My first finds, I just did a quick swing around one of our flower beds.

[Linked Image from i180.photobucket.com]

Lots of nails, a small piece of aluminum, a piece of foil, an old tent stake, an old magnet that is no longer a magnet(lol), a piece of a hinge, a piece of wire bent into a weird shape, and a brass shell casing.

It was fun non the less and a great way to start learning the different sounds she makes.

Both is good shape just need cleaned up.
And some junk the plastic had me thinking I may have struck gold but just some foil and the little pink plastic stone in it.

hit a 1920 home with my F2 today
Surprisingly no silver and not much for pre WW2 coins but some sweet finds non the less.
[Linked Image from i180.photobucket.com]
A silver plate butter knife (this thing had me excited at first but still cool even in plate.)
A zinc Hammer from a toy gun
A toy wagon or cannon wheel
What was left of a plate spoon
The find of the day a birth record spoon (Monica born June 12th 1962 at 1205 PM) my buddy With his ATP passed digging this one on our first pass but I unknowingly hit it and dug it on our second. Needless to say I was stoked he was bummed. LOL
My first half dollar
one clad dime
and my first coin spill 2 copper Lincolns.

Awesome, that's exciting! It's amazing the things that just end up buried and forgotten, until you stumble across them
