Want flat and long shooting with a great ballistic coefficient? Get something chambered in 25-06 grin 117-120 grains will drop em in their tracks at 2-300 yards every time.

338 seemed like a great idea on paper, but I'm wary of cartridges that only one manufacturer makes a round for. Almost pulled the trigger on one (so to speak), but never regretted not doing so. As you can tell, I have nothing constructive to add here grin

Nope, I agree but the thought of a long range compact lever action makes me drool. Remmington also made the round but may have stopped because I see all the online stores dont have any in stock.

Didn't Savage make a 243 lever back in the day?

And Browning currently makes one. They even have a takedown model.
